Maymont Mansion Tour. Cost: $80.00. Reservations required by
March 7, 2008. We will begin our day with a visit to the heart of the 100-acre estate, a 33-room Romanesque Revival Victorian mansion. It contains carved furniture, oriental rugs, European porcelain, stained glass, the Swan Bed and much more. Following a boxed lunch, we will take a tram tour to see the Arboretum, wildlife habitats, carriage house and the Japanese Garden. Lastly, we will explore by foot Maymont’s Italian, Japanese and herb gardens and get a closer look at the Arboretum. We will next drive to Cuppa Tea Company, in the historic Fan District of Richmond, where we will have afternoon tea.
